The Role: Street Child is currently looking for qualified Primary or Secondary teachers to support the development of local teachers and help develop their skills. Successful candidates will travel to Sierra Leone over the school summer holidays for two weeks to help run workshops as well as working directly alongside our Sierra Leonean teachers. A key aspect of this programme will be to collaborate with local teachers in?designing and delivering effective lesson plans with clear learning objectives within an environment where resources are incredibly limited.? Whilst in Sierra Leone you?will be situated in a rural area so amenities will be extremely basic; so this is not an experience for the faint-hearted. However, it is a great opportunity to be involved in important development work within Sierra Leone, share experiences, skills and resources with teachers from both the UK and Sierra Leone... not to mention the chance to visit some of the country's incredible beaches. |
