Through „Youth for a Better Future” we aim to foster social cohesion (a sense of belonging to the local community, European space, equality between community members, participation in decision-making at all levels) and active citizenship, especially among young people. The program include thematic workshops on active citizenship and community engagement, consultation and public debates, advocacy campaigns, workshops on how to take care of environment, correct recycling, greening actions, workshops on sport activities and healthy lifestyles. Volunteers will help in setting up workshops and events in different places from Dambovita region, will participate in the elaboration of communication activities, will give assistance to participants during workshops and will have the opportunity to facilitate sessions, ice-breaking games, energizers. Also they will contribute to the daily activities of the host organization within the local community.

This volunteering position require interested persons in the field of active citizenship, community development, facilitation and psycho-pedagogy. The volunteers must be open-minded, proactive, motivated to learn and develop personally and professionally, also to be a sociable persons and eager to work with young people aged 13-20 years old. Volunteers must be open to move in a small city and support the host organization in its daily work with the local community. English skills, B2 – level is required, also willingness to learn Romanian language.
