Objetivo

The organization



Open Cultural Center (OCC) is a dynamic NGO dedicated to fostering cultural exchange and providing support to migrant and refugee communities. We are passionate about creating inclusive spaces, promoting social and labor integration, and advocating for the rights and opportunities of marginalized groups. Our diverse projects span from educational programs to community events, all aimed at empowering individuals.



 



We have our main office in Barcelona, with a team of 15 to 20 employees and various volunteers. In addition to the work we carry out in Greece, some of our main activities in and around Barcelona are: a coding bootcamp (MigraCode), a community for women interested in tech (CodeWomen), a housing program for migrant youth in rural areas (Youth4All), and a language school (Language Lab).



 



Job Purpose



As the Program Manager of MigraCode, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the MigraCode team and managing our tech courses and activities. You will also be dedicated to supporting the Corporate Partnerships Manager, helping to build and maintain relationships with companies and organizations, as well as the Grants Manager, writing proposals.



 



Key Responsibilities



Program management (60%)



Team Management:



Manage and supervise the MigraCode team (approximately 3 team members).



Conduct weekly team meetings to ensure alignment and address any concerns.



Coach, train, and support team members to enhance their skills and performance.



 



Courses Supervision:



Plan, organize, and execute the courses of the program (Web Development, AWS, SOC..).



Ensure all students receive comprehensive support throughout their learning journey, including access to legal advice, psychological support, and mentoring.



 



Event Coordination:



Organize and facilitate all MigraCode-related events (job fairs, company visits, graduations, Kick-offs, Corporate volunteering events) in collaboration with the OCC team.



 



Budgeting and Financial Oversight:



Develop and manage the program budget



Monitor and report on the financial status of the program, including tracking expenditures and forecasting future financial needs.



Ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements and prepare regular financial reports for the OCC management team.



 



Stakeholder Engagement:



Act as the primary contact for key stakeholders, including students, volunteers, and external partners.



Collaborate with the Corporate Partnerships Manager to identify and develop job opportunities for graduates.



 



Fundraising Support (40%):



Private Partnership Development:



Support the Corporate Partnerships Manager in establishing and nurturing relationships with corporate partners, NGOs, and other stakeholders.



Assist in the development and execution of partnership strategies that enhance the employability of MigraCode graduates.



Development of proposals and impact reports



 



Public Fundraising Support:



Contribute to fundraising activities by writing grants and proposals



Support on the development of partnerships



Research fundraising opportunities at the local and international level



Writing of justifications and reporting on program implementation



 



 


Perfil:

Desired profile



We are looking for an organized, empathetic, and proactive individual who is passionate about education, social impact, and working with diverse communities. The ideal candidate will have experience in program management, team supervision, and partnership building within the tech or social sector.



Required Skills and Experience



Educational and Professional Background:



Experience in project or program management, preferably within an NGO or social impact organization.



Strong understanding of the tech industry, ideally with knowledge of coding education programs or initiatives aimed at fostering tech skills among diverse communities.



Strong organizational skills, and ability to take ownership of own learning and development. Teamwork skills.



Demonstrated experience in fundraising. Proposal writing and reporting.



People Management and Team Leadership:



Proven experience in leading and managing teams, including training, coaching, and supervising team members.



Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster a positive team environment and motivate staff and volunteers.



Event and Course Coordination:



Experience organizing events and managing educational programs, including scheduling, logistics, and participant coordination.



Ability to handle program planning and execution, especially in areas related to tech education, such as web development courses, job fairs, and corporate partnerships.



Financial and Budget Management:



Basic financial literacy, with the ability to manage budgets, track expenses, and ensure accurate financial reporting.



Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management:



Experience working with external partners, such as companies, NGOs, or government institutions, to build collaborative relationships.



Strong communication skills for engaging with students, volunteers, and corporate partners.



Language Proficiency:



Fluency in English and Spanish is required for this role.



Catalan is desirable



Desirable Skills:



Experience with CRM, project management tools, and databases to manage student information and track program outcomes.



Knowledge of legal or social support systems available to migrants and refugees, to better guide participants through their educational and personal journeys.



Basic knowledge of programming is desirable



What do we offer?

Full-time permanent contract under Spanish law.



An annual gross salary of up to €24677 year based on experience and profile.



38.5h a week, 13 payments, and a holiday period of 30 labour days per year (42 natural days).
