Access Info Europe is currently looking for an intern to join the team!

Access Info Europe is a human rights organisation established in Madrid in 2006 and dedicated to promoting and protecting the right of access to information. We run a range of projects designed to leverage the right to information in order to increase participation and accountability, to defend human rights, and to advance democracy.

The Intern will work on the following activities:

» Assisting Access Info Europe with the preparing of legal complaints and appeals based on requests filed under the Spanish access to information law.

» Other support on projects to promote EU and national transparency. The work may include research, writing, monitoring, analysis, the development and implementation of projects, and liaison with partners as well as occasional administrative tasks.

» The Intern will also work on translation and editing of documents for their subsequent use in social media outreach.

Access Info will provide the Intern with continuous, on-the-job training on the right of access to information and related human rights issues. The work experience will include participation in projects which provide the opportunity to learn about democratisation and governance processes and about the structure and functioning of civil society in Europe and globally.

Required profile and skills

» Students of Law, Political Sciences, International Relations and/or related studies, interested in the right of access to information and transparency.

» Knowledge of Spanish legal framework is required.

» Candidates should have a high or native level of Spanish and English.

» Candidates should be proficient in Excel management and good analytical skills.

» Candidates should be team workers.
