The role holder will be responsible for operational management of human resources in the Madrid Teaching Centres.   The position reports to the Head of HR Iberia and will interact with  teaching centre staff, management and Payroll teams, British Council HR community and employment lawyer.

Perfil/Requisitos


Must possess at least Degree level qualification in labour relations, law, psychology, business administration, economics or other HR Related Fields. It would be desirable that candidates posess Post-graduate HR related qualifications and/or Certifications. • Basic Language requirement - Spanish and English language – one to C1 and the other to C2. Ideally, English and Spanish C2. At least 4 years’ recent professional experience in an HR Management role, working within organisations with similar responsibilities such as: multisite organisations, international environment, Knowledge of Spanish HR legislation, Social Security and processes, business focus. Preferably, post holder will possess experience of working within an educational establishment. Strong communication and presentation skills. Accustomed to supporting budget management. Experience supervising a small team. Negotiation skills. Experience in HR soft & hard HR skills – labour relations, recruitment & retention, Talent, etc. within organisations. The post holder must be eligible to live and work in EU/Spain. Criminal checks will be required (Certificado de Delitos sexuales and/or equivalent in country of origin). A willingness to attend events and take part in meetings beyond normal school and office hours is essential. The candidate must be willing to have a flexible work schedule as most teaching takes place in the afternoons and evenings and Saturday is the BC´s biggest day and the working timetable will reflect this. Travel in Spain or within Europe may occasionally be required.
