The Role Street Child is calling for individuals hoping to gain valuable experience in the development sector by undertaking a voluntary Research Ambassador role in Nepal. Street Child is currently seeking to conduct research on a number of issues affecting marginalised children in Nepal in order to inform the design and development of appropriate initatives. This placement is a unique opportunity to make a critical contribution to an organisation that is setting up and scaling its efforts to enable out of school children in Nepal to access a meaningful education. Street Child offers placements for anywhere between four to twelve weeks, supporting our work in Nepal and the work of our partner organisations. Working alongside the Street Child of Nepal team, key responsibilities will include – Conducting literature reviews on assigned issues and proposing frameworks for how the issues can be understood within Street Child Conducting primary and secondary research at field sites using bespoke methodologies and methods, including appropriate tools for research with children, their communities and other relevant stakeholders Creating research papers with recommendations for Street Child and relevant stakeholders; these papers will form the basis for future research and initatives This is a wonderful opportunity for you to learn about the development sector through an immersive experience, and to make a lasting contribution to the organisation and its aim to offer educational access to out of school children all over the world. |
